How old do you have to be before you can safely see The Rocky Horror Show?

The short answer to this question is PG (Parental Guidance). The show has been going for 30 years and over that time we’ve seen parents bring along children as young as 8, while others wouldn’t allow their children near the show until they’re at least 16!

We would never stop you bringing children of any age to see this marvellous musical but do be sensible – the content being of a transsexual nature might just be a bit too much for the younger members fo the family, and certainly, the Audience Participation can get a bit rude (see the Virgin’s Guide)! Why not pop along and see it yourself and make up your own mind – you can always go back with the kids (or maybe they can take you!)

I can’t find the full list of dates and cast for the new tour on this site. Also, why is that your web site doesn’t list some dates but other sites do?

When the dates and cast are confirmed, we will get them put on the site and they will be there for all to see! Other websites do not have a contractual obligation not to publish rumours! We will only publish dates here after the venues have actually signed contracts with the company. There has been an instance where an unofficial site published tour dates before the venues had been confirmed. When one of the venues was inundated with calls to the box office about the ‘phantom’ booking, the venue pulled out because the callers were starting to get abusive, saying they knew it was coming and why couldn’t they buy tickets. So beware false gods!

Be patient, tour routing can take some time and we will put dates on here as soon as they are on sale, so keep on checking the site!

Why do you never come to a town/city near me? If you did, you would certainly sell out!

Our tour schedule isn’t just put together by someone drawing names out of a hat! The Rocky Horror Show has high production costs and we need to have a venue that can guarantee those costs will be covered, plus make money. Many venues are unable to do this due to their capacity or their closeness to another larger venue we may be visiting. We would love to play every town/city in the country but we’re afraid it just isn’t feasible.

Can we meet the cast before or after the show?

You want blood? The quick answer is no, we can’t arrange meet and greets. However, if you hang around the stage door you will see each and every one of them as they exit after a hard day’s slog! They are usually more than happy to stop and chat and sign an autograph or two, but please remember they are people too… they’re probably knackered and don’t have all night to stand chatting and having pics taken. Having said that, be kind to them and they will more than likely be kind to you!

Is there a specific Fan Club for the show?

There are fan clubs all over the world – try putting Rocky Horror Fan Club into a search engine and see what we mean! However in the UK, there is only one official fan club and that is TimeWarp. They can be contacted at www.timewarp.org.uk

Is it possible for me to use information from this web site on my own pages?

Please ask first! Much of the copy and all the images on this site are copyrighted to The Rocky Horror Company and we do get upset when it is pinched! Write to us using our email system - explain what you want to use and why. We will get back to you.

What participation is allowed at the show?

See the Virgins Guide – all the information you could need and more!

However, while you’re here…

While we love people doing the talk-back lines and dancing to the songs, please remember never to throw anything onto the stage, it can be dangerous for the actors. Theatres also discourage squirting water, naked flames and throwing rice or any other objects as it can be dangerous with all the electrics around, not to mention messy, so don’t do it! People have been asked to leave the theatre for not sticking to these rules and we would hate this to happen to you.
