Richard trained at The London School Of Musical Theatre.

His first professional engagement was playing the role of Mikado in The Hot Mikado at The Gatehouse, Islington. The show received rave reviews, and was Time Out Critics' Choice.

Prior to training at LSMT Richard’s theatre credits include: An Evening With Peggy Spencer (King’s Lynn, Corn Exchange); Eddie in Greek and Raymond in Nil By Mouth (both Russell Hall, King’s Lynn) and Eternal Dance (King’s Lynn, Corn Exchange).

Richard played the role of Prince Claude in Sleeping Beauty (Lichfield Garrick) and he also sang live on BBC Radio West Midlands at the Birmingham Symphony Hall. Richard joined the Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat company in 2006 playing the role of Judah and was delighted when he was asked to play the title role of Joseph.

Other theatre includes: Brad Majors in the 2007 national tour of The Rocky Horror Show, Jack in Jack & The Beanstalk in Guildford, understudied and played the role of Jesus in the UK Tour of Godspell, Jazz Cat in Petite Rouge, Third Woodcutter in Blood Wedding, Prince Charming in Cinderella at the Shaw Theatre; David in the new musical Austentatious and most recently Prince Charming in Cinderella at The Capitol, Horsham.
